The Nets and the Suns go to battle at the Footprint Center this Tuesday night on NBA
The Brooklyn Nets have been in a rut as they will be hoping to snap a four-game losing stake after falling just short to the Warriors in a 110-106 road loss on Saturday. Kevin Durant leads the team by averaging 29.3 points while Kyrie Irving is averaging 24.5 points. James Harden is averaging a double-digit scorer with 23 points and 10.1 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills are both averaging 13 points.
As a team, the Nets are scoring 111.8 on 47% shooting and allowing 110 points on 44% shooting.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 13 of their past 14 games overall and they will be aiming for an 11th straight victory after sneaking past the Spurs in a 115-110 home win last Sunday. Devin Booker is averaging 25.1 points while Chris Paul is averaging a double-double with 14.8 points and 10.3 assists. DeAndre Ayton is also averaging a double-double with 16.8 points and 10.6 rebounds. Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson are both averaging 12 points per game.
As a team, the Suns are scoring 112.8 points on 47% shooting and allowing 104.9 points on 43% shooting.
The Nets are ranked #5th in offense and 18th in defense and the Suns are ranked #3rd in offense and 7th in defense.
The Nets will be shorthanded once again as LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Durant, and Joe Harris are all out, while James Harden is listed as questionable for this one. The Suns have also a list of injuries themselves as Jae Crowder, DeAndre Ayton, Abdel Nader, Landry Shamet and Cameron Payne are all out once again. The Nets have put up a good fight against the Warriors last Saturday, but they’ve been struggling to stay competitive lately with so many key players sitting out. The Suns are currently the best team in the league and it’s no surprise that their elite backcourt has been leading the way. Our prediction goes with the home win.
