The Bucks play host to the Nuggets at the Fiserv Forum this Sunday night.
The Denver Nuggets have been in fine form as they’ve won 9 of their past 12 games and they will be eager to build their current four-game win streak after routing the Pelicans in the 116-105 road win last Friday. Nikola Jokic is averaging 26.2 points and 13.8 rebounds while Will Barton is averaging 15.4 points per night. Aaron Gordon is the third double-digit with an average of 14.5 points.
As a team, the Nuggets are averaging 108.4 points per game on 46% shooting.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks are in good shape as they’ve won4 of their past 5 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Knicks in a 123-108 home win last Friday. Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.9 points and 11.3 rebounds while Khris Middleton is averaging 20.1. Jrue Holiday is averaging 17.9 points and 6.5 assists per night. Bobby Portis is grabbing an average of 9.3 rebounds per game.
As a team, the Bucks are averaging 111.9 points per game in 45% shooting.
The Nuggets are ranked #17th in offense and 11th in defense and the Bucks are ranked #4th in offense and 15th in defense.
The Nuggets are missing some key players once again as Jamal and Michael Porter are both out, but DeMarcus Cousins and Will Barton are both listed as probable. On the other side, Brook Lopez is the only one out of action for the Bucks. There will be 2 MVP contenders on the floor battling not only for the win but also for the NBA crown. This will be close, but given the fact that Denver is short-handled, I’ll stick with the Bucks.
