The Mavericks and the Magic duke it out at the Amway Center this Sunday night.
The Dallas Mavericks have been on excellent form as they’ve won 13 of their last 16 games overall and they will be aiming for a 3rd straight win after dismantling the Pacers in a 132-105 home win last night. Luka Doncic leads the team with averages of 25.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per night. Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds while Jalen Brunson is averaging 15.7 points.
As a team, the Mavs are averaging 100 points per game on 45% shooting.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic are in terrible form as they’ve lost 15 of their last 18 games. Nevertheless, they are looking to build some momentum after routing the Pistons in a 119-103 home win last Friday. Cole Anthony is leading the team with averages of 17.9 points while Franz Wagner is averaging 15.7 points per game. Wendell Carter Jr. is averaging 13.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. Mo Bamba is averaging 12.7 points.
As a team, the Magic are averaging 102.4 points per game on 43% shooting.
The Mavericks are ranked #24th in offense and 3rd in defense and the Magic are ranked #28th in offense and 20th in defense.
Mavericks will again be without Tim Hardaway Jr, Sterling Brown, and maybe KP, while the Magic will again be missing Michael Carter-Williams, RJ Hampton, and E’Twaun Moore. The Magic have found a bit of form lately with two wins in their last three outings, but it’s hard to trust a team that’s been so bad all season. The Mavs are favorite for this one and they have reasons for it, even with missing some key players, Doncic will be on the court. Our prediction is a good win for Dallas.
