The Warriors play host to the Cavaliers at the Chase Center this Sunday night in NBA action.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their past six games, but they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Trail Blazers in a 114-101 road win on Friday. Darius Garland is averaging 19.9 points while Jarrett Allen is averaging a double-double with 17 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Collin Sexton is averaging 16 points. The Cavs have 9 players averaging 10-plus points per game.
As a team, the Cavaliers are averaging 107.8 points with 46% shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past nine games overall, but they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling short to the Pelicans in a 101-96 road loss on Thursday. Stephen Curry is averaging 26.8 points while Andrew Wiggins is averaging 19.1 points per game. Jordan Poole is the third double-digit scorer with an average of 19.1 points per night.
As a team, the Dubs are averaging 110.1 points with 47% shooting from the field.
The Cavaliers are ranked #18th in offense and 2nd in defense and the Warriors are ranked #11th in offense and 1st in defense.
The Cavaliers were struggling before stopping the rot with a win over the Trail Blazers last Friday, but they’re going to have their work cut out for them in this meeting as the Warriors will finally have Klay Thompson back in the lineup for the first time in two seasons. The line is a little hefty and the Warriors haven’t been at their best in the last two games, but the Chase Center will be packed for the debut of Thompson in this one. Our prediction goes with the home win.
