The Bulls and the Mavericks duke it out at the American Airlines Center on this Sunday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 13 of their past 15 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current nine-game win streak after outlasting the Wizards in a 130-122 home win on Friday. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 26.5 points and 1.8 steals while Zach LaVine is averaging 26.4 points per game. Nikola Vucevic is averaging a double-double with 15.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per game and Lonzo Ball is adding an average of 5.1 assists.
As a team, the Bulls are averaging 111.2 points and shooting 47% from the field.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in great form themselves as they’ve won six of their past seven games and they will be looking for a sixth straight victory after routing the Rockets in a 130-106 road win on Friday. Luka Doncic is averaging 25 points and 8.8 assists while Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 20.6 points and 8 rebounds per game. Jalen Brunson is the third double-digit scorer with 16 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. is adding 14.7 per night.
As a team, the Mavericks are averaging 105.5 points and shooting 45% from the field.
The Bulls are ranked #8th in offense and 13th in defense and the Mavericks are ranked #24th in offense and 3rd in defense.
The Bulls will again be without Alex Caruso and Jordan Bell, while the Mavericks are without Willie Cauley-Stein and Porzingis with Luka currently considered questionable. Both teams are coming into this one with plenty of momentum, but the Bulls hold the major edge in this one if Doncic isn’t able to suit up. With that being said, our prediction goes with the Bulls to stay hot with another win and cover against the shorthanded Mavericks in this spot.
