The Nuggets receive the Mavericks to battle at the Ball Arena this Saturday night!
The Dallas Mavericks have been in great form as they have won 10 of their past 13 games, but they will be looking to bounce back here after having their fourth win streak stopped by the Thunder in a 116-108 road loss in Thursday. Luka Doncic is averaging 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.5 points per game while Kristaps Porzingis is adding 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. is averaging 16.4 points per game and Jalen Brunson 13.
As a team, the Mavericks are shooting 46% from the field and grabbing 42.9 rebounds per game.
On the other side, the Denver Nuggets have been in fine form as they’ve won 10 of their past 14 games and they will be aiming for a six straight victory after last night’s 103-102 road win over the Grizzlies. Nikole Jokic is averaging MVP numbers with 27.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists. Jamal Murray is adding 21.2 points and Michael Porter Jr. is averaging 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per night. Monte Morris and Paul Millsap are each averaging 10.4 points.
As a team, the Nuggets are shooting 48% from the field and grabbing 43.7 rebounds per game.
The Nuggets have continued to pile on the wins and they will have taken so much confidence from last night’s win. Jokic has been on fire this season and I can’t imagine Murray shooting quite as poorly as he did last night. Meanwhile, the Mavericks have been in red-hot form, but they certainly didn’t look too hot in Thursday’s loss as they struggled without Luka and KP who will be on the floor tonight. Dallas are looking good lately with their team healthy and, with both star players fresh, I will take a shot on the Texas team.
