The Trail Blazers and Knicks meet this Saturday in NBA action at Madison Square Garden.
The Portland Trail Blazers are looking for a win after splitting their last ten games. They’re averaging 115.7 points on 44.3% shooting and allowing 116.5 points on 47.9% shooting. Damian Lillard is averaging 29.1 points and 7.3 assists while CJ McCollum is averaging 26.7 points and 3.9 rebounds.
As a team, the Trail Blazers are allowing 37.5% shooting from deep.
The New York Knicks need a win after losing five of their last seven games. They’re averaging 102.4 points on 44.7% shooting and allowing 104.1 points on 43.6% shooting. Julius Randle is averaging 22.6 points and six assists while RJ Barrett is averaging 17.8 points and 6.6 rebounds.
As a team, the Knicks are shooting 35% from beyond the arc.
The Knicks hung around with the Trail Blazers about two weeks ago and have the edge at home in an early east coast start and with all the Portland injury piling up. Lillard is expected to play, but CJ, Nurkic, Collins, and Little are out. On the other side, the Knicks look healthy and they need a win. I’ll go with the Knicks on this one.
