Sixers, Raptors e Nuggets! Jogo 1 – Algumas surpresas, outras, nem tanto!

O primeiro jogo da serie 1 já foi disputada e como sempre houve surpresas, alguma mais do que outras.

1)  Joel Embiid não é ele mesmo e os Sixers são vaiados pelos próprios adeptos em casa na derrota perante os Brooklyn Nets.

Os adeptos dos Sixers ficaram fúriosos com a prestação da equipa no passada sábado, após sofrer uma derrota caseira no jogo inaugural dos Playoffs 2019 frente aos Brooklyn Nets.

Eles sabem que a sua equipa, que fez grandes esforços para reforçar a equipa durante a temporada, como aquisições de Jimmy Butler e Tobias Harris [mesmo hipotecando o seu futuro no Draft], consegue praticar bom basquetebol, porém, não foi o que viram no jogo.

Assistindo à pobre prestação da sua equipa, em casa, os adeptos vaiaram a equipa.

Ben Simmons não gostou disso, dizendo: “Se você é um adepto dos Sixers e vai vaiar, mais vale ficar do lado deles.”

Simmons mereceu o desagrado dos adeptos. Ele registou 9 pontos, 7 ressaltos e 3 assistências numa noite onde os Nets o desafiaram a lançar e mesmo assim ele dispensou. Simmons não foi o jogador que Philadelphia precisava.

Joel Embiid não foi o jogador que os 76ers precisavam. O melhor jogador dos Sixers esteve em dúvida para o jogo devido a uma lesão no joelho, porém, decidiu jogar mesmo assim – má escolha. Registou 22 pontos, 15 ressaltos e 5 abafos, no entanto não teve o impacto que costuma ter.

O destaque fica para Amir Johnson e Embiid que foram apanhados pelas câmeras a ver SMS no telemóvel durante o jogo. Johnson foi multado pela equipa por isso.

Os Brooklyn Nets, uma equipa de azarados, jogou com mais vontade e mais agressivamente que os 76ers que estão repletos de estrelas. A atitude dos Nets, que nada têm a mostrar ou a perder, fez com que jogassem mais libertos, com menos pressão e isso deu frutos. A dois minutos do fim, D’Angelo Russell selou a vitória para os Nets.

Jimmy Butler liderou os 76ers com 36 pontos.

2)  Quando mais as coisas mudam… Mais continuam na mesma em Toronto.

Desde o início da temporada que esta ano seria diferente. Eles têm Kawhi Leonard. Ele têm um plantel mais profundo. Eles têm um treinador que se concentrou em prepará-los para os Playoffs ao longo de cada etapa da temporada de 82 jogos. Estes Raptors estavam preparados para os Playoffs.

No entanto, perderam o primeiro jogo por 104-101 e DJ Augustin fez isto.

Kyle Lowry não marcou qualquer ponto. Os adeptos dos Raptors já viram isto nos Playoffs, mas mesmo assim, veja a tabela de lançamentos.

 

Kawhi Leonard subiu e desceu e os Raptors foram como ele. Quando ele foi de 4 em 4, 11 pontos no primeiro período, os Raptors subiram e pareciam a controlar o jogo. Quando ele registou 0 em 5, não marcando qualquer ponto no segundo período, os Raptors foram superados em 13 pontos. E assim foi, até ao final do jogo.

Os Magic estiveram em modo Playoffs por um tempo, eles fecharam a temporada com um parcial de 22-9 para conseguir chegar aos Playoffs. Orlando estava pronto…Toronto nem tanto.

Esta série está longe de terminar, mas cabe agora aos Toronto Raptors, mudarem o chip a tempora de provar que esta temporada é diferente dos últimos anos.

 

3)  Nikola Jokic regista um triplo-duplo na sua estreia em Playoffs, mas é insuficiente para dar a vitória aos Denver Nuggets.

Os último homem a conseguir um triplo-duplo no seu ano de estreia nos Playoffs, foi LeBron James em 2006. Nikola Jokic fez o mesmo no passado sábado, ao anotar 10 pontos, 14 ressaltos e 14 assistências.

Mas nos momentos decisivos , os Nuggets não têm ninguém que assuma. Os Denver, e nomeadamente Jokic, tentaram jogar o jogo que apresentaram durante toda a temporada, mas não conseguiram.

Ninguém conseguia marcar nos Nuggets, talvez fosse melhor colocar Rocky no jogo.

Os Spurs estavam preparados para a pressão. Eles jogaram como deve ser, como uma equipa que têm sido sólida nos Playoffs durante os últimos 22 anos!! Derrick White foi o melhor Spur em campo com 16 pontos, tendo sufocado Jamal Murray na defesa. DeMar DeRozan e LaMarcus Aldridge combinaram 33% dos pontos dos Spurs.

Os Spurs foram a primeira equipa nesta ronda a mostrar como se joga sob pressão.
